This small site is nestled along the eastern end of Narrow Lake and offers a scenic and peaceful setting for users. There is room for 5 camping parties and there is good access to the lake via an unimproved gravel boat launch with a gradual slope. The basic amenities of tables, fire rings and pit toilets are provided. The lake offers good fishing for rainbow trout, kokanee, and lake trout (lake trout fishing is catch and release only). The lake is seasonally closed to all fishing from Nov 1 - Apr 30.

There are 3 separate sites within a 1 km stretch, and there is room for 17 camping parties between the 3 sites. This easily accessible site is enjoyed year round for camping, swimming, fishing and ice fishing. There are 3 camping areas located immediately adjacent to the access road, and another 6 within the main portion of the site. The sites are situated amongst some beautiful Douglas Fir trees along the northern shores of the lake. The basic amenities of fire rings, picnic tables and pit toilets are provided. The lake is annually stocked with Blackwater and Horesefly strain rainbow trout. Motor boats may be used on the lake, but there is a 10HP limit in place.

There is an unimproved boat launch suitable for small car-top boats, and the lake offers decent fishing for rainbow trout. The lake is stocked annually with Pennask strain rainbows.

The full circuit takes between six and 10 days to complete. For a shorter trip, the West Side of the circuit can be paddled in two-to-four days. It is recommended that only people with some wilderness canoeing experience attempt the circuit. Bowron Lake Park also has a very pleasant 25-unit drive-in campground. The Mackenzie Lakes Rec Site consists of two separate recreation sites - Mackenzie Lake West and Mackenzie Lake East. Two small sites are nestled amongst some beautiful Douglas Fir trees along the terraced shores of Barton lake. There are two separate vehicle access points; the first site offers space for 5 groups and the second site (about 200 metres down the road) offers space for 2 groups. A short trail connects the two sites. The basic amenities of tables, fire rings, pit toilets and car top boat launches are provided. The lake offers opportunities for kayaking/canoeing, but the fishing opportunities are limited to resident coarse fish.

Purden Lake Park is found east of Prince George, on the north shore of Purden Lake. The Cariboo and Rocky Mountains surround the park. The park’s upland is very forested with open areas near the lakefront. The lakefront is great for scenic shoreline strolls or swims, and is also a popular fishing spot. You can fish from the docks near the boat launch or find good spots along the lakeside trail. The lake is stocked each year with kokanee salmon and rainbow trout, giving anglers great opportunities both from shore and on the water.

The site is located approximately 300 metres from the main FSR and offers great access to the eastern end of St. Marie Lake. This site is tucked in approximately 3km from the Willow-Cale FSR and offers a slightly more remote experience than the other sites along this road. All camp sites are in close proximity to Opatcho Lake, and the site offers the basic amenities of a pit toilet, tables, and fire rings. The lake is stocked annually with Blackwater and Horsefly strain rainbow trout, and the lake is known to periodically produce some fairly large fish for lucky anglers (5 lbs plus).

This is a very popular site that sits adjacent to the clear waters of Amanita Lake. Although anglers may catch the odd small rainbow trout, this lake is much more heavily used as a swimming and camping destination. There is space for 9 camping parties as well as some extra day use parking, and the basic amenities of tables, fire rings and pit toilets are provided.

Steelhead Park is a convenient overnight camping and picnicking spot for travelers on Highway 1. This is also a popular destination camp for visitors enjoying boating and fishing on Kamloops Lake, at the head of the Thompson River. The park offers 240 metres of beach on the lake and 1,000 metres of frontage along the river. The Savona community offers the amenities of a small town.

Big Creek Ecological Reserve was established for the permanent protection of natural climax grassland in the Chilcotin region. Ecological reserves protect special natural ecosystems, and support research and education. They are not intended for outdoor recreation. However, this ecological reserve is open to the public for non-destructive activities like hiking, nature observation and photography. Consumptive activities like hunting, fishing, camping, or foraging are prohibited. Motorized vehicles are not allowed.

This park offers a popular 23 site campground and day-use area which has a developed beach, a horseshoe pit and a nature trail. Some activities offered include hiking, exploring and fishing. The large, deep lake is usually fished on a troll. Fishing for rainbow trout is a favourite pastime of many visitors. There are a number of smaller lakes excellent for fly-fishing. Two unnamed lakes are in the park, and were once the site of a hatchery operated to restore the run of sockeye to the Horsefly River. Fir, spruce, birch and cedar clothe the slopes along the lower reaches of Dillabough Creek at the west end of Horsefly Lake. There are old growth cedars and Douglas firs throughout the park.

This is a small open area rec site with 5 designated sites and a boat launch. It is located beside the Gavin Lake Education Center, and we request users respect the centers facilities. The site is also the start of the new trail around the lake, which includes 800m of low mobility boardwalk and a bridge over the inlet creek. Bring your Mountain Bike, the trails across the road have been expanded to include some single track bike trails. The site also has low mobility trail and outhouse.

A pretty lake with mountain views. There are 15 sites located here with 1 good boat launch at the notherm end of the lake. Activities include canoeing,swimming and fishing. A 3.2 km trail (one way) on the north end of the lake leads past the walk in Noel Lake campsite and to Lost Lake campsite that is a nice, intermediate difficulty rated hike.

Juniper Beach was established as a provincial park in 1989. The park protects a representative desert landscape which contains sagebrush, prickly pear cactus and of course, juniper. Part of the landscape includes deep post-glacial deposits and large scale erosion features. It is a convenient overnight camping spot for travellers on Highway 1 and provides access to the Thompson River. Both CNR and CPR railway tracks run by the park and provide an attraction to train-buffs. This park is also a popular base camp for visitors enjoying boating, fishing, photography and touring historic Hat Creek Ranch and Ashcroft Manor, both nearby.

Ten Mile Lake is a very popular recreational destination for local residents and visitors. It offers a large picnic area, three sandy beaches, a boat launch, flush toilets, attractive campsites, showers and great fishing. A 2 km forested nature trail along an abandoned rail road leads to a large beaver pond which makes for a rewarding hike. In the winter, the park’s trails transform into near 10 km of cross-country ski trails.

Popular for fishing and hunting, the recreation site has a small number of campsites available. They are suitable for mid sized trailers as the camping sites themselves are quite large. There is also the Roscoe Lake trail that leaves near the boat launch and partially around the west side of Roscoe Lake to a lookout. Another trail leaves the Roscoe Trail and continues further on and over to Knight (Echo) Lake. Both trails are non-motorized.

Paul Lake Park is nestled in a mixed forest of Douglas fir, pine and aspen. Easy access, beautiful scenery, plentiful fishing and a diversity of outdoor recreational activities make Paul Lake a popular destination. The park offers a large campground, a sani-station and an adventure playground. In addition there is a popular day-use area with beach and cartop boat launch, and over seven kilometres of hiking trails. This lovely lakeshore campground is within a 30 minute drive of Kamloops and there are many tourist attractions in the area. Arrive early, as the campground fills up quickly!

A mid sized campsite-somewhat open on the large jade coloured Lillooet lake, with 2 small grassy areas. Two or three sites can accommodate an RV. two entrances, the first one is steep, the second one is less steep. Small unimproved boat launch on site-beware when boating there is a lot of large woody debris in the lake. Twin One Creek nearby. Berry bushes on site-watch for bears. Bull Canyon is a small campground along Highway 20, ideal for visitors travelling in the Chilcotin. The park is located in a beautiful canyon, with the glacier blue Chilcotin River flowing past the campground. There is a short walking trail beside the river, and the surrounding area supports excellent fishing lakes, birdwatching and wildlife viewing opportunities. People can view shallow caves in Bull Canyon Mountain on the Chilcotin River Interpretive Trail. Bull Canyon Park is often used as a base from which to explore.
