A 8-unit campground in a forested setting along the shores of Silverthorne Lake, near the town of Houston. Notable features include a picnic shelter with wood stove and picnic tables, sandy beach, an island in the middle of the lake, and extensive trails connected to the Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Area. The campsites are spread out along the shoreline. The lake is not a good fishing lake but popular for paddling and swimming.

Found in a semi-open area next to the lake, this popular and busy recreation site is easily accessed with moderate to large RV units. The site is used mainly by campers and fishermen, but the nearby Kettle Valley Railway is a popular destination for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts too. There are two smaller but functional boat launches.

This is a small open area rec site with 5 designated sites and a boat launch. It is located beside the Gavin Lake Education Center, and we request users respect the centers facilities. The site is also the start of the new trail around the lake, which includes 800m of low mobility boardwalk and a bridge over the inlet creek. Bring your Mountain Bike, the trails across the road have been expanded to include some single track bike trails. The site also has low mobility trail and outhouse.

Elk Valley Park is a scenic, quiet and sheltered picnic area within close proximity to the Highway. This park provides a unique opportunity to enjoy natural features of the Elk Valley and riparian habitat of the Elk River in close proximity to a major tourist route. In addition, there are commanding views of the Rocky Mountains, particularly to the north of the park. The only facilities in Elk Valley Park are at a Highway Rest Stop, and are not maintained by BC Parks. It consists of a parking lot, picnic tables, wheelchair accessible pit toilets.

Begbie Falls is a waterfall at the mouth of Begbie Creek on the Upper Arrow Lake. The day use site is located at the end of the Begbie Falls Forest Service Road (FSR). <BR> Access the falls by vehicle on Begbie Falls FSR or trail access from the Begbie Bluffs Parking area on Highway 23S via the Bluff Trail. Saltery Bay Park was established in 1962 to provide ocean access on the Sunshine Coast of Georgia Strait. The park is divided into two separate sites: the campground and the day-use area. The day-use area with its rocky beaches is a popular swimming and picnic site. Lush forests with large, old trees create a quiet setting for the campground at Mermaid Cove. At low tide, the rocky shoreline often has tidal pools with starfish, sea urchins, small fish and crabs. Scuba diving provides a close-up look at the abundant marine life and a 3 m bronze mermaid statue. This marine park is a snug anchorage on the northwest side of Keats Island. Plumper Cove Marine Park is accessible by passenger ferry from Langdale to Keats Landing followed by a 2 km walk to the park. A developed area with forested walk-in campsites, fire rings, water and a trail system. Marine facilities include a wharf and mooring buoys. Small boats may be pulled up on the shore. The pebble beach is great for swimming and picnicking. Observatory Point provides views of Howe Sound and the town of Gibsons.

Loveland Bay Park is located near Campbell River on central Vancouver Island and offers a quiet area for camping, swimming and fishing. This small and rustic park provides a boat launch onto Campbell Lake. Golden Gate/X̱áat Yádi Aani Conservancy was established as a result of the Wóoshtin Wudidaa Atlin Taku Land Use Plan and Taku River Tlingit First Nation Strategic Engagement Agreement. The conservancy is a high value Tlingit landscape that includes important cultural and recreational features in the islands, bays and shoreline at the junction of Tagish Lake and Graham Inlet. The Tlingit name (X̱áat Yádi Aani) refers to a village located close to the place where humpback whitefish congregated. The conservancy is located approximately 35 kilometres northwest from Atlin in the asserted traditional territory of the Taku River Tlingit and Carcross/Tagish First Nations.

The Visitor Fee must be paid in CASH and will apply to ANY vehicle on the Weaver Lake Rec Site for a MAX 4 Hour visit per vehicle (excluding paid overnight campers). Upgraded in the Spring of 2021, Gosling Lake Rec Site is a beautiful, quiet, lakeside site located along the Sayward Forest Canoe Route. The portage trail links Campbell Lake to the Gosling Lake portion of the route. This site is more appropriate for tents, campers and small trailers.

One of the few sites on the east side of the lake and it has a long access road. It is easy to launch a small or boat or canoe, and explore the many bays and beaches. This site is not suitable for large trailers and motorhomes.<br><br>

The most popular and largest of the 'Cartwright Lakes'. The lake is over one kilometre long with a shoreline of mature pine and fir. It's deep and cold, but swimming is possible. There are two main campsites - Cartwright West and Cartwright North. Both are busy throughout the summer camping season. Check for altered fishing regulations.

Situated on the most southerly fjord in North America, Porteau Cove Provincial Park features waterfront campsites with a view over Howe Sound to the mountains beyond. An old ship has been sunk to provide interest for scuba divers and to attract marine life. There are special facilities for divers. Miller Creek was expanded in the spring of 2018 to include 21 new sites with plenty of options along the lakefront and through the forest. This site is nicely situated among the fir and hemlock with a great beach for summer activities. With this site being so close to town, it is a popular destination. The day-use area includes a beach, boat launch and dock. There is a trail that leads to the narrows and a fishing hole while old roads provide hiking opportunities. Gray Lake is a very popular site year round. The remains of an old railway trestle add to the scenery. The site has good access for swimming and includes a portage trail for the Sayward Forest Canoe Route. Expect canoeists venturing through the site enroute to their next destination. All recreation sites in the Kootenay Boundary district are first come first serve, there are NO reservation systems in place. Garland Bay is a large open beach site on the east shore of Kootenay Lake. Great area for swimming, camping, fishing and boating.

Developed in the Spring of 2021, Pacific Yew is the newest recreation site along the Sayward Forest Canoe Route located on Mohun Lake. Named after the abundance of Pacific Yew trees in the site, most individual campsites are water side with amazing views and access to the lake. There is a small swimming beach for campers as well as a boat launch for small boats. The boat launch is restricted to those camping at the recreation site and those paddling the Sayward Forest Canoe Route.
