About this site

Source ↗

Apodaca Park is tucked away on Bowen Island, just off the Lower Mainland, and is only accessible by water. This park offers scenic cliffs, rocky knolls, and a beautiful seaside stand of Douglas fir, arbutus, and shore pine trees. The shoreline bluffs preserve unique plant communities, including a small population of blue camas. Apodaca Park is one of few sites in the region where these are known to grow. Apodaca Park is located on the traditional territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations. The park is known in the Squamish language as Estítkw. How to pronounce Estítkw [M4A] , spoken by Victoria Fraser of the Squamish Nation.
